Imagine you’ve spent a full day working with bees, celebrating their striving, startled by their surprises, & defeated by their demises. You go to sleep that night with a smile and a question. Or two. Or nine. Then you wake up early in the morning to run over to the donut and coffee shop in the middle of a small rural town in Ohio, where you meet with your friend Jim and perhaps one of his guests. The three of you sit together for 20 minutes and talk about what was what, what is, and what possibly could be. That’s the podcast. t’s that simple. And it’s enough to keep you going into that bee yard for the next six days. It’s not a master class at a university filled with curricular complexities. They could do that and have before. There are places for that. No, this is a diner of discussion, delving in to everything from dearth’s & dead-outs, to daydreams of waggle dancing. And for a university professor like me who is new to beekeeping, and misses the days of working & questioning alongside his grandfather - who I miss dearly - it can’t get much better than this.
